Enamelled silk pod on a long leather thong: wearable art.

Enamelling is a process by which powdered glass is fused on to a metal surface.  High heats are used to melt the glass powder, which melts and flows into a glossy smooth coating.  Here the silk pod has been electroformed, followed by enamelling to produce this incredible finish.  Each piece of this jewellery is utterly unique, and very special.

While the natural form is strengthened by the electroforming process, this jewellery is still fragile, so please treat your new wearable art with care.  Do not submerge, or expose to perfumes or chemicals.  Clean with a soft dry cloth.
